Juarez – 2008

Our Student Ministry will be going to Juarez, Mexico.

Surrounded by high desert mountains lies Juarez, MX. Along with El Paso, TX, Juarez comprises one of the largest boarder communities in the world. Through the years, a large gap between the rich and poor has developed and many families live in extreme proverty. Average salaries for the “working class” can range from only $4-$50 per day. Mission Discovery teams are needed to build houses, work with local orphanages, and minister alongside churches to address the physical and spiritual needs of the poorest of families living in this area. By providing a family with a house, your team will restore hope to those in need; making way for many opportunities to share to the love of Christ as you build relationship. You will also host a vacation bible school that will draw up to 100 children from the neighborhood to sing songs, do crafts, and hear the good news of Jesus through bible stories. Your team will lodge and enjoy great meals at a camp inside Juarez. One day will be spent shopping at the Market and relaxing at a local water park.
